There are hundreds of coach training programs. Which one is best for you?

Great question.

I understand! I’ve been there. I’ve searched for coaching programs too.

Now, I’m an ICF-certified coach and enjoying every moment.

My goal with this Coach Training Alliance review is to provide you with the insights you need to decide on a life coach certification program. I hope that you find this review valuable in your journey to becoming a certified coach.

And, I have no doubt you’ll choose the certification program that’s best for your life coaching business.

What is Coach Training Alliance?

Coach Training Alliance (CTA) is one of the leading life coach training programs in North America. CTA offers an exclusive training model that enables you to experience coaching while you learn. And, they are an ICF-Accredited Program.

Coach Training Alliance is committed to your success as a professional coach. Research shows that experiential learning accelerates the process of acquiring knowledge. CTA training creates “teachable moments.” Using the CTA training method, students are fully engaged, learning is accelerated, and the cost of your time and attention is minimized.

Also, everyone has a preferred method of learning. Some of us learn visually. Others prefer to listen, read/write, or learn by doing. During online classes, Coach Training Alliance uses the “Circle of Learning™” method for their certified coach training. The “Circle of Learning™” method is a multi-sensory experience that continuously guides the participant toward mastery in their chosen field.

In this Coach Training Alliance review, I will focus on three of their core coaching certification programs.

1| Certified Coach Program - Become a Certified Coach - (Learn More)

2| Coach Training Accelerator - Join 10000+ Other Coaches - (Learn More)

3} Yoga2Life – A Unique Yoga Life Coaching Program - (Learn More)

Is Coach Training Alliance Accredited

Yes, Coach Training Alliance is accredited.

Coach Training Alliance is accredited through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The IFC is the premier accreditation body for coach training programs.

ICF credentials are recognized by employers and clients worldwide. With training from an ICF-approved program, your future employer or clients understand you’ve received a rigorous education in the coaching process.

I’ve seen a handful of requests for proposals from companies and individual coaching requests that specifically require you attended one of the ICF-approved coaching training programs.

More specifically, Coach Training Alliance has received the ICF’s ACSTH Accreditation. Since the CTA program holds this accreditation, graduates of CTA training can apply to the ICF for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential or the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Credential using the ACSTH application path.

Plus, the CTA Yoga2Life Coach training program received ICF’s Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) accreditation.

With the coaching education you receive and the accreditation, you can understand why Coach Training Alliance is one of the best life coach certification programs in North America.

CTA Training Coaching Niches

Coach Training Alliance identifies 11 coaching niches applicable to their CTA-certified training

  1. Life Coaching / Yoga Life Coaching

  2. Business Coaching

  3. Executive Coaching

  4. Leadership Coaching

  5. Corporate Coaching

  6. Mentor Coaching

  7. Success Coaching

  8. Relationship Coaching

  9. Spiritual Coaching

  10. Management Coaching

  11. Career Coaching

You’ll see some debate in the coaching world on whether or not you should have a coaching niche. In my opinion, you need a niche. From a branding and marketing perspective, if you want to grow your business and attract ideal clients, a niche helps you differentiate yourself. You stand out from the crowd.

When you start coaching, you’ll find that you are coaching across multiple niches. I’m a Personal Branding and Marketing Coach, but I’m constantly doing life coaching, leadership coaching, relationship coaching, and more during my coaching sessions.

Don’t let a coaching niche stop you from choosing a coaching program. The most important part of your coach training is developing deep learning of the “coaching process.”

Coach Training Alliance Programs

As an ICF Certified coach, I understand the training required to help clients and how to grow your coaching practice. When reviewing Coach Training Alliance’s programs, I really impressed with how they combined coach training with marketing and business training.

Business and marketing training is a differentiator in coach training programs. I help coaches, consultants, and online experts market themselves. 70% of my business comes from coaches that have gone through certification programs but don’t know how to build their brand or market their coaching business. The other 30% want to learn advanced marketing and branding skills.

I’m not saying this to try and gain more clients. Instead, I want you to understand how I thought through my Coach Training Alliance Review.

Flat out, I’m impressed with their Coach Training program’s dedication to helping coaches grow their practice.

Now, let’s jump into the review of CTA’s training programs.

Certified Coach Program - Become Certified Today – Learn More

The Coach Training Alliance Certified Coach Program is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Approved Coach Training program. This CTA program takes 6-months to complete. Which is not an unusual amount of time for good ICF training programs.

During that time, you will learn the coaching process, coaching competencies, and receive training on essential marketing and general business courses. You can apply your training to any coaching niche.

The Course Outline

The CTA Certified Coach Training Program has five sections:

  • Coaching from Center

  • Impeccable Business Sense

  • Effective Coaching Tools

  • Becoming a Client Magnet

  • Masterful Coaching Sessions

As you can see, you’ll learn everything you need to be a successful coach.

The Delivery Method

This CTA Certified Coach program is delivered through a combination of live teleconferencing, online learning, and interactive software. You’ll receive your CTA training alongside the same 10-15 participants, which is great for building a supportive community.

The training program takes 22-weeks, requires 1-2 hours of self-study per week, and 60-90 minutes per week of teleconferencing.

Course Work

The course work for the CTA Certified Coach Program is received online through software. Here you’ll experience the Coach Training Accelerator™ to launch and sustain your coaching career.

Since CTA follows the “Circle of Learning” model, you’ll experience CTA training sessions such as Group Mentoring, Coach the Coach sessions, Self-Study, and Observation & Critique. We’ll go into greater detail below.

Group Mentoring

Coach Training Alliance’s group mentoring class consists of your training class and mentor coach. The instructor-led classes are held weekly and target the coaching tools, techniques, and models you need to become a successful coach.

Coach the Coach

Coach the Coach is an essential part of any coach training program. In CTA’s Coach Training Program, you will experience coaching by coaching others, observing coaching, and being coached. Again, this type of “community of practice” applies to Coach Training Alliance’s training methodology; you learn through experience and by example.

Think of this like a fun form of Role-Playing. I enjoyed this part of my training program.

Private Class Forum

Coach Training Alliance provides a private forum for their students. In this forum, you’re able to connect with your classmates, ask questions, and share experiences.

Graduation Requirements

Since Coach Training Alliance is accredited through the International Coaching Federation, they have strict requirements to graduate and become a certified coach. The graduation requirements listed on CTA’s website include:
